We are located in the foothills of Jay Peak, Vermont home to some of the best ski and snowboard trails in America and offer all guests discounted lift ticket coupons. We have all modern amenities including reliable high speed wifi with Comcast cable internet access so you can work from home whilst discovering the joy of village life in Vermont. As soon as you enter Whimsy Cottage, you will feel the positive vibes and energy that surrounds you in this bright, airy cottage located in a classic Currier and Ives Vermont village. There is a downstairs master bedroom and bathroom along with a huge kitchen with open dining floor plan as well as plenty of space to work at home. Whimsy is served by Comcast Cable with very reliable, fast wifi internet access making it an excellent place to stay for a short vacation, or for several weeks knowing that you can work from your vacation rental with confidence in your internet service. Upstairs you have 2 bedrooms with a brand new bathroom installed in November 2020 . Whimsy sits on an acre of land offering privacy despite being located on the outskirts of a village. Within the town you have rivers for fishing, woods next to waterfalls for relaxing and having family fun, swimming holes, hiking trails and so much more in summer. Winter brings Whimsy guests a whole new range of activities from snow-shoeing, skiing, snow-boarding, x-country skiing, snow-mobiling and more. You have access to the entire property. Whimsy is located in the delightful village of North Troy which is the largest town closest to Jay Peak Resort in its eastern foothills. It is literally one mile from the Canadian border. The Village itself has a Currier and Ives feel to it as you are transported back in time to a simpler, less complicated era. If you love the outdoors, you will love this area where you can take full advantage of rivers for swimming, fishing, paddling or just sun-bathing. Hiking trails abound and you are within 30 minutes to several golf courses. In winter, Jay Peak Resort is just up the road for alpine skiing. There is no public transport and in winter you will need a reliable car with winter tires particularly if planning on skiing at Jay Peak Resort. That said, our state and local town snow plow drivers are awesome and the roads are always kept clear and passable even in the heaviest snow conditions. We are pet friendly for a single well behaved dog. Please note as there is new carpeting upstairs, your 4 legged family member is not allowed upstairs. The master bedroom is in fact downstairs so this should not present an issue.
